Networx technology helps manage SSI Recruitment Drive

Industrial steel giants SSI have today begun their recruitment for up to a thousand new jobs at their Redcar plant.

The news of SSI’s recruitment has been welcomed from the residents of Teeside following the loss of 1,600 jobs when Tata mothballed the plant in February last year.

In order to help deal with the high volume of applications that the company expects to receive, SSI has engaged the latest technology and support of award winning recruitment solutions provider networx recruitment.

With optimum efficiency as a priority, networx have worked alongside SSI to create a bespoke recruitment management system and online application process that enables the business to deliver a first class candidate experience to each and every candidate.

Commenting on the partnership with networx, Jo Davies, HR Director at SSI, said: “We have been working with networx for the last few months in preparation for the recruitment drive for SSI steel on Teesside.
I cannot speak highly enough of the support team and their efforts. They have often gone beyond the call of duty and have always remained flexible to our ever changing demands.
networx have played a valuable role in helping us deliver a first class recruitment solution to help us bring steelmaking back to Teesside.”

In response, Andy Pierson, Managing Director at networx stated:

“We have a long established relationship within the steel industry and as a result have an extensive client base within the sector. The level of experience and expertise we have gained through working with these businesses has ensured that we are ideally placed in order to deliver the best possible solution to SSI.”

All vacancies currently being advertised by SSI can be found on their website: http://www.apointplus.com/ssi/jobs/default.aspx
